2014 Beauty Resolutions
We are now over a week into the New Year, and miraculously our resolutions are still in full swing! Here at ISO Beauty, our New Year Resolutions are all about hair (naturally). We'd love for you to join us in achieving healthy, silky, sexy hair in 2014!
1. Hair mask once a week.
Our hair goes through so much potentially damaging processes throughout the week, a weekly hair mask will help repair dry, brittle hair.
2. Drink more water.
We love our soy vanilla lattes as much as the next girl, but we love healthy, hydrated, long locks better--healthy hair grows faster.
3. Air-dry hair once a week.
Give your hair a break. If your hair is outright unruly try braiding it at night for soft waves in the morning or throw it in a chic messy pony tail.
4. Use a heat protector.
We may be overdoing it, but we choose to use both a pre hot tool spray (before flat ironing, blow drying, curling etc.) and post-styling spray to protect from UV rays... but even using just one will help significantly.

Get Bigger, Brighter Eyes
The Holidays are all about looking fab and glam, and no one knows that better than us! Yet, the hustle and bustle, parties, and late nights can wreak havoc on our beauty sleep resulting in a less than glam "tired face."
So, what can you do to battle the sleepy look when you stayed up until 3 a.m. wrapping presents and have to attend a holiday party in t-minus 2 hours?
Try this very easy and simple beauty trick that will make you look cheery and bright with bigger, brighter eyes.
1. Invest in a good concealer! Choose a color that is 2 shades lighter than your skin to cover dark circles.
2. Mascara, mascara, mascara--3 coats of darkest black will add volume and length and create contrast.

Pump Up the Volume and Shop ISO Beauty Black Friday Deal!
1 Take a shower using any shampoo and conditioner. Remember to always use a conditioner so your hair doesn't dry out from the straightener!
2 Rinse your hair with cold water before getting out. This locks moisture in your hair and prevents some frizzing.
3 Wrap your wet hair in a towel for 20 minutes.
6 Blow dry your hair section by section using a round brush for best effect.

No Regrets Faux Bob
We've all done it, had that urge for a change, make the first available appointment with our stylist and then wonder how 5 inches of our hair has ended up on the salon floor!
Sometimes this scenario results in a "Why didn't I do this forever ago?" but more often than not we regret our impulsive behavior, and the 2-year process of growing our hair long starts all over.
So we've decided to take a note from some of our favorite celebs and try a Faux Bob the next time we feel that itch to ditch our locks!
STEP 1
Create loose curls for volume.
STEP 2
Part hair into 3 horizontal sections (you should have a section at the crown of the head, the middle, and at the nape).
STEP 3
Take the section at the nape of the neck, tease it, and secure into a messy bun.
STEP 4
Starting with the middle section, tuck pieces of hair under the bun creating a 'Bob' shape. Repeat this process until all pieces are tucked. You can play with the pieces closes to the face creating a pretty wave or leaving loose curls.
STEP 5
Spray with a firm hold styling spray, and enjoy your new do without regret!
